Hiwa-i-te-rangi
Just as Matariki star, Hiwa-i-te-rangi, holds our dreams and desires in the hope they will be realised, Te Aorerekura, (Aotearoa/New Zealand’s first National Strategy for the Elimination of Family Violence and Sexual Violence) holds a space where our dreams and desires, indeed, our expectations, may be realised for better, more effective, and just family and sexual violence prevention and response systems. The realisation of our dreams and desires, and those of our communities, require that we each work as leaders in our mahi, alongside other leaders (in government, the non-profit sector, in culture and, in communities).
Who is the conference for?
Anyone working in the family violence and/or sexual violence space or whose mahi touches upon the lives of people impacted by family violence - specialist clinicians and advocates, support staff, community leaders, government funders and policy advisors, academics and researchers.
